Al Salam Day School has an enriched QAD program as part of its curriculum. It begins from Elementary level and spans into High School. There is a theme that our own Islamic experts have put together and perfected over the years. A program that teaches the Islamic Identity through Love.
In Elementary, we teach students about Allah. His prophets, and the pillars of Islam. In Quran class, they learn the surahs of juz Amma and special stories from the Quran.
In Secondary, students start to learn about subjects that prepare them for the real world. What does it mean to be Muslim? How do we perceive the Quran? What is the Muslim lifestyle? Our students are taught the important concepts for both increasing them in the wisdom of Islam and also develop critical thinking so they don’t fall for societal pressure.
What if my child doesn’t know how to read Arabic?
Every year, we get a few kids who are completely new to reading Arabic. This is nothing to be ashamed of! It is never too late to start learning and we cater to a warm environment where the kids, no matter the age, are able to learn how to read. We have special teachers that help students learn so they can begin their journey with the Quran too.
Do you have a Hifdh Program?
We have an unique Hifdh program that allows student to continue take their regular classes. This way, they are memorizing the Quran with a certified Hafidh, and also keeping up with their school. Students who participate in the hifdh program are exempted from extra-curricular classes. You can find out more from HERE.
