School Hours
Monday-Friday is 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Al-Salam Day School Main (grades KG-12) is open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Al-Salam Day School ECC Grades PreK is open from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday.
The Infant & Toddler Community is open from 7:30 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday. Please see the academic calendar for Infant & Toddler Community closures.
Al-Salam Day School North (Grades PreK-5th) is open from 7:45 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Attendance
Parents must notify the ADS Office/Homeroom teacher by 8:30 am when their child is absent.
Dismissal and Late pick up policy
If authorized persons fail to pick up their child/children (and they cannot be reached by the ADS staff), the staff has the right to add late fees to their monthly billing statement within fifteen minutes after the dismissal time of 3:30 pm. A late pick-up fee of $10.00 per hour per child will be assessed when a child is left after 4:00pm. (The late pick-up fee does not constitute an agreement to provide after hours service.)
ECC After Care Program
The program costs $125 a month per a child (3:30 pm – 5:00 pm) and $225 a month per a child (3:30 pm – 6:00 pm). Availability must be confirmed with the ECC Director.
Professional Learning Committee-Early Release
Every year, time is dedicated for teachers’ professional development and training. Please see the academic calendar for information when Al-Salam Day School Main , ECC Campus and North Campus will have early release on these PD days.
Inclement weather
In case of inclement weather, if it becomes necessary for ADS to have a late start or early dismissal, it will be my responsibility as a parent to arrange for my child/children’s pick-up.
Note: Parents will be notified by administration if there are any changes to school hours. This will be communicated via Facebook, Rediker, ClassDojo, and announced on the following television channels: KSDK 5, KMOV4, KTVI, FOX 2, KPLR 11, and ABC 30.
