Tuition & Fees


Al-Salam Day School is a private school and relies on tuition for its operation and existence. ADS does not receive state or federal aid. It is you, the parents of our students, who can ensure the success of Al-Salam Day School. The following list of components may help in understanding the fee structure of ADS.

A. The Application Fee are currently $50. Fees will increase to $100 after April 30.

Non-Refundable Application Fee: $50.00/student received by 4/30/17
Late Non-refundable Application Fee: $100/student received AFTER 4/30/17

All parents/guardians of every student must pay the application fee for each child. There is no discount or waiver on application fees. This non-refundable fee covers, in part, the following items:

Processing the enrollment application on the administration level
Paying for mailing information, transfer of records, etc.
Guaranteeing commitment of the parent/guardian toward ADS
B. Technology Fee: 1st-12th grade ($50.00/student)

All parents/guardians of new and returning students must pay the $50.00 technology fee for each child entering grades 1-12. There is no discount or waiver on technology fees. This fee is due at the time of registration after March 10, 2017. The technology fee is non-refundable. The fee offsets the continuing costs of maintaining and advancing our technology systems for students and teachers. The fee covers, in part, the following items:

Updating software on computers
Giving students and teachers access to online educational websites and programs
Replacing outdated technology hardware
Virus protection
C. Books/Supplemental Instructional Supply Fee: PreK-12th Grade ($300.00 per Student)

All parents/guardians of new and returning students must pay $300.00 for books and supplies. There is no discount or waiver on the book/supplies fee. This fee is due at the time of registration, along with the application and technology fee (when applicable). The book and supply fee is non-refundable. The fee for student supplies covers, in part, the following items:

Workbooks
Textbooks
Testing material that include State Standardized Assessment Tests
School furniture, including tables, chairs and whiteboards
Technological updates to classrooms such as computer soft-wares, internet service, and more
Dry Erase markers, copy paper, copying and other teaching materials
Sports equipment and supplies such as toys, balls …etc.
* Please note: if a child loses or damages books or supplies, it is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to replace the lost or damaged items. Parents/guardians will be charged all costs associated with replacing or reordering items.

D. Placement testing materials and evaluations for new students entering grades 1-8 ($50 per student)

E. Tuition

Al-Salam Day School begins in August and ends in May. Full tuition can be paid in full before the start of the school year, or can be broken into 10 month installments at the convenience of the parents.

Pre-Kindergarten students ages 3 and 4 annual tuition:
Full-time students (Mon-Fri from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm) = $6,000 per year
Part-time students (Mon-Fri from 7:45 am to 12:30pm) = $4,500 per year
Kindergarten annual tuition= $5,000 per year
Grade 1-12 annual tuition= $4,600 per year

Tuition for ADS girls (grade 3 & up) enrolled in Jannah Institute = $3,000 per year
Tuition for ADS boys & girls (grade 2 & up) enrolled in Ridwan Program= $100/month

Sibling Discount: The lowest fee will be considered to calculate the discount-

2nd child 10% off 3rd child 15% off 4th child 20% off

F. Payment Options:

Two payment options are available.

Pay the full tuition for the year (School Office will accept payment 1 week before school begins until the first day of school) and receive a 3% discount on the full amount.
Monthly Payment Plan—can be made online via Orbund or Check-o-Matic (scheduled automatically withdrawals from bank account).
Monthly payments must be made by the 1st of every month, or there will be a $30.00 late fee penalty.
Please Note: Parents who have scheduled family trips or vacations during the school year are responsible for paying the tuition for the month they will be out of town.

ADS is a firm believer in quality Islamic education for all children of all socio-economic backgrounds. For this reason, Financial Aid packets are available for parents to fill out for the following school year. You can pick up a copy from the ADS main office. Financial Aid deadline is July 1, 2017. However, priority will be given to families that submit financial aid documents by May 1, 2017. However, submitting an application does not guarantee approval of financial aid.

 

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE (ECC)

-$75 per child for annual application fee for Daycare, $50 fee for students entering PreK-3/4, and kindergarten.

-Tuition is due at the time of registration. Tuition is only accepted through direct debit (ACH), also known as Check-O-Matic. A voided check will be required at the time of registration along with the Check-O-Matic form. Tuition is due the 1st of the month. If the business day falls on the weekend, tuition will be deducted the following business day. Tuition for enrollment after the first of the month must be made by check or credit card.

ADS Early Childhood Center Programs & Fees

*Please Note: Parents who have scheduled family trips or vacations during the school year are responsible for paying the tuition for the month they will be out of town.

Please note: The younger the child, the higher the tuition. This is based on limitations placed on child-to-caretaker ratio required for infants vs. toddlers.
