Allowing for the integration of science, technology, engineering and math concepts, the Robotics Lab has been in operation at ADS since the beginning of the new year. All students from 4th grade to 8th grade receive programming instruction in Scratch, in the newly functioning computer lab, from a qualified professional in the field. Students are able to see the results of their coding exercises as they construct their machines and set them in motion.
Robotics Lab aims at introducing kids to computer programming and robotics.
Students will learn:
- How to write code in Scratch (a programming language specially developed for kids at MIT).
- How to build robots using LEGO WeDo Robotics construction kits and program them using Scratch and Lego WeDo Robotics software.
