Early Childhood Center Teachers
Ustathah Nidaa, Toddlers
Ustathah Suad Al-Tamimi has been working with toddlers and infants for more than four years, with the last two years being at Al-Salam Day School. Her experience includes working at the Adventure Learning Center and raising her own children. Ust. Suad is currently a student at Meramec Community college with the intention to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. Moreover, she has attended several workshops and training classes such as first aid, CPR, preventing communicable disease, learning styles, and more. Her first language is Arabic and she has studied English as a second language. She has been married for twenty four years and has three wonderful boys. She says she feels blessed to have a family supporting her to raise and teach a new Muslim generation.
Ustathah Heba, Prek-3/4 (A)
This is Ust. Heba’s fifthyear at Al-Salam Day School as a pre-school teacher. Ust. Heba also has experience teaching at Saturday school for four years now.
Ust. Heba is originally from Egypt and her native language is Arabic. She is the mother of three girls who are students at Al-Salam Day School. She loves her job and is very happy to work with pre-school.

Ustathah Faten, PreK-4
This is Ustathah Faten’s ninth year teaching PreK-4 at Al-Salam Day School. She has previously taught at Al-Iman Saturday School and worked for three years at ABC 123 Daycare and Learning Center. Ust. Faten was privileged to work for the Park Hill School District in Kansas City for nearly three years. In addition to previous Early Childhood Education training, Ust. Faten continues to take courses that strengthen her skills in the classroom. She is CPR certified and attends children’s hygiene and health classes.
Ust. Faten is blessed with four beautiful children who have enriched her life and taught her many beautiful lessons. They have taught her it is essential that parents take an active, interested role in their child(ren)’s education, to praise a child when they do well in class, and help them to stay motivated and excited to learn. She’s also learned that when the teacher and parents work together, the student’s potential for successes and happiness in the classroom soar.

Ustathah Maryam , PreK-4 TA
This is Ustathah Maryam’s 10th year as a pre-school teacher at Al-Salam Day School. In addition to being certified as a teacher’s aide, she is CPR certified. Her intentions are to continue taking more courses that will improve her skills in the classroom.
Ust. Maryam values her job and the opportunity she has to teach your child. As a teacher’s aide, she assists the lead teacher in planning lessons and educational activities, with a clear view of enabling students to evaluate their own learning abilities.
