Dr. Abdul-Mun’im S. Jitmoud, Ed.D. (Mudir Jitmoud)
Mudir Jitmoud’s personal motto is: “The world is waiting for Islamic education. Deliver it while you can”. After 30 years of promoting Islamic education in North America, Mudir Jitmoud says he has been blessed by Allah (SWT) to witness the birth and growth of Islamic schools across the North American Continent.
With the help of Allah (SWT), he wishes to further serve the cause of Islamic education in North America for His sake by nurturing the Islamization process in fledgling Islamic schools and by helping these schools to achieve dual accreditation in both the Islamic education standards of CISNA (Council of Islamic School in North America) and the AdvanceED standards of academic excellence, In-Shaa Allah.

Director of Early Childhood Center
Mushrifah Marah Zabibi
Mushrifah Marah Zabibi is the Director of the wonderful ADS Early Childhood Center (ECC) and was announced as the vice principal of ADS & ACP High School in 2016. She grew up in Damascus, Syria and now resides in St. Louis. She feels familiar with the surrounding area and many of the great people who live and work here as well. She says it’s a great place to live and work!
Mush. Marah has more than 11 years of teaching and supervising experience in the Early Childhood field, which she gained while in Syria. She holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature and is pursuing her Masters degree in Elementary Education.
Mush. Marah has been with ADS since 2011, where she started as a teacher and head of the Early Childhood department, and she is now proud to serve as Director for this great school. She enjoys working with children of every age, and watching them learn and grow. When she’s not at the ECC, she spends time with her five children and two-year-old grandson.
Mush. Marah would love to have your stop by and visit the Early Childhood Center. She’d love to meet you, show you the newly renovated school, and introduce you to the ECC’s fantastic teachers, AlhamduAllah!
Ustath Issam Fakhani
Ust. Issam earned his MBA in Banking Management from University of Exeter, UK. He also recently earned an Associate degree in Accounting from St. Louis Community College-Meramec.
He previously worked for many years overseas in the banking industry. However, a few years ago he moved to the accounting field to work with a CPA firm. He started working with Al-Salam Day School (ADS) as a Finance/Office Manager in 2013. He is in charge of all of the school’s financial activities, including admissions and HR.
Ust. Issam enjoys working for ADS because he likes his profession working with numbers and is pleased to have his own four kids studying at ADS, which is a rich Islamic environment, alhamdullah.
Ust. Issam’s hobby is watching Aljazeera News to follow the latest news in his home country, Syria, as well as Muslims’ news world-wide. He seeks your Duaa for the Uma.

Ustathah Gina Mirza
Ustathah Gina Mirza was born and raised in Northern Ohio. She attended Akron University, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in grades KG-grade 5.
Ust. Gina has had a great opportunity working with children from many countries and enjoys learning about their culture. She is passionate about teaching and thrives to learn more to keep up with the 21st century world of education. It is very important to Ust. Gina to maintain a well-structured classroom and to instill an atmosphere, which provides a desire to learn.
She likes to focus on the heart and character of each student to help them do well in their academics and development. She says that working with young students has been gift from Allah (SWT).
Ust. Gina is proud to say that she has a wonderful husband named Yunus and 4 amazing children; Reza, Nasreen, Senaa, and Musa.
Communications Manager & Media Specialist
Ustathah Nawal Abuhamdeh
Sr. Nawal Abuhamdeh resides in Saint Louis with her husband, Dr. Ferrahs Abdelbaset, and two children, Mariyah and Fares. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communications from Maryville University of Saint Louis, Missouri in 20111 and comes to Al-Salam Day School with with more than 5 years of Communications and Event Planning experience with various non-profit organizations in the Saint Louis area.
Additionally, she has a passion for helping others and volunteering. She co-founded The Women’s Committee of Dar Al Jalal and a Girls Islamic Youth group called, The Young Sister’s Society, where they provide an Islamically appropriate atmosphere for all girls that are dedicated to building good Islamic Character. She is currently an Islamic Studies Preschool teacher at Al-Huda Sunday School and loves to work with kids.
As an ADS Alumni herself, Nawal is proud that she has enrolled both her children at ADS Early Childhood Center. Furthermore, her hobbies include writing for her online personal blog, Coffee in my Sippy Cup.
She is excited to use her role in communications to help Al-Salam Day grow and dedicated to continue ADS’s success.
